Several international texts and Legal Instruments which concern women have been adopted at an international level.

Like these instruments, the Solemn Declaration for the Equality of Gender in Africa is a tool which must be used in order to promote Women's Rights and their legitimacy to participate in decision-making processes for all the challenges facing the continent, in particular conflict resolution and the peace building.
